Dublin LGFA - Div 2 - Match Report
Foxrock Cabinteely 0-10
Ballinteer St. Johns 5-10
The Ballinteer Senior ladies opened their league campaign with a trip to Foxrock Cabinteely and turned in a really good team performance to take the points.
The girls in tangerine & black played some lovely flowing football and their ability to create and convert goal chances ultimately was the difference between the teams.
The foundation for the win was founded on a very strong defensive performance with the BSJ players putting their FoxCab opponents under constant pressure at every turn and the defence recording a well deserved clean sheet.
BSJ brought in 5 replacements who all contributed to the win and demonstrated a noticeable depth to the squad.
A call out to Grace Dent who made her return from injury and to Alice Smyth whose performance (and a personal tally of 2-05) earned her the Player of the Match Award. Well done Alice!
Next up for the girls is a home game in Marley Park v Clan Mhuire on Wednesday 9th April, throw in 6.45.
All support welcome!
