On Saturday September 20th, Ballinteer St Johns travelled to Erins Isle GAA club to participate for the first time in the Social Camogie National Blitz.

This fantastic event brought together 30 teams from across Ireland as players of all levels came together to enjoy camogie in a fun and inclusive setting. With matches running throughout the day, the atmosphere wasfantastic with all teams encouraging each other and enjoying their shared love of camogie.

Ballinteer St Johns played matches against St Oliver Plunketts Eoghan Ruadh (Dublin), Ballina Stephenites (Mayo), Erins Isle (Dublin), Clonduff (Down) and Crusheen (Clare) during the blitz. Following end of the blitz, the team had great fun thanks to the post-blitz disco and drinks hosted by Erins Isle!
The Camogie Association released a video showing the highlights of the day which includes our Ballinteer St John’s team at the start.  To watch the video click here.

Established earlier this year, the club’s social camogie group has gone from strength to strength, with the National Blitz marking its second outing following their debut blitz at St Anne’s Bohernabreena on August 29th.
