The BSJ Ladies put in a strong performance to get the better of a valiant Skerries Harps team at home in Marlay.  The BSJ girls started strongly and despite conceding an early penalty went on to build a healthy lead notable for some sharpshooting from Alice Smyth on free taking duty and Ciara Kellegher from play, both of whom also chipped in with nicely taken goals after good team build ups. 

Skerries rallied though and a goal on the stroke of the half time whistle kept them in touch trailing by 2-10 to 2-02. On the resumption of play though BSJ regained control and the defence repelled some good attacking play by the Skerries forwards. A nice team move put the result beyond doubt when a goal mouth scramble saw Laura Dunne finish to the Skerries net. Not easy on the Skerries girls making the long trip across the M50 mid-week!

Well done to BSJ who had some standout performances all over the field. Best of all on the night was POTM Ciara Kellegher who finished with a personal tally of 1-05. Congratulations Ciara.

Well done to the team on getting 3 wins in 3 starts. A great start to the league for the girls.
