Our BSJ Junior B Ladies made it two wins from two in the Junior L Championship Group A with a superb 6-12 to 3-06 victory away to Raheny this evening.
It was a great team performance from the first whistle to the last, with every player playing their part.
*Fast Start*
BSJ settled quickly, with Ciara Lane opening the scoring inside the first minute. We continued to apply pressure, culminating in Emily Sheehan striking a goal in the 7th minute to give us early control.
Points from Eleanor Bourke and Aisling Power kept the scoreboard ticking over, but Raheny responded with a goal to close the gap. The girls showed great character, and a strong spell before half-time saw Aoife Magee hit two goals, while Sarah Maher and Aisling Power added further scores.
Aisling then finished the half in style with a goal, sending BSJ into the break with a 4-7 to 2-2 lead.

Raheny came out strongly after the restart and quickly cut the deficit, but the response from BSJ was excellent.
Aisling Power popped over a point, and moments later Clodagh Gormley made an impact from the bench with a goal. From there, we regained control, with Ciara Lane continuing to keep the scoreboard ticking over, and Juliet Wall adding both a point and a late goal to seal a great win.
*Player of the Match – Layla Morrison* ⭐
In a game with so many outstanding performances across the pitch, Layla Morrison was given the Player of the Match award.
Layla read the game superbly, produced several timely interceptions, worked tirelessly in both defence and attack, and was a constant source of composure and drive for the team.

A special mention must go to Lucia Hosey, Brenda Murphy, and Eleanor Burke. The half-back line was a fantastic first line of defence all evening, working brilliantly together, denying space, and setting the platform for many of our attacking moves.
