*2 out of 3 ain't bad*
It was a tough evening on Monday for Ballinteer St John's Junior B Ladies, falling short against a strong St. Maurs side 0-5 to 6-14
However, with the top spot in the group (and home semi final advantage) already secured thanks to our brilliant wins in the opening 2 games, it was a great opportunity for a few of our players - fresh from finishing their Leaving Certs & Summer Travels, to shake off the study stress and enjoy some championship football.
Clodagh Comiskey led our scoring efforts with a fantastic three points, while Katie Dunne and Heather both chipped in with lovely scores of their own.
Special mention to Ava Fehilly in goal, pulling off some great saves, and to Eleanor Bourke, who was named Player of the Match for her leadership , continued determination and tireless effort across the pitch regardless of the scoreline.
So yes... don't be sad.. 2 out of 3 really ain't that bad. 😁
