Afternoon Tea by Yummilicious at Ballinteer St Johns in aid of Ukraine

A very special Mother's Day event at BSJ for a great cause.

We have planned some events for the Clubhouse in 2022 and the first one is “Afternoon Tea” for Mothers Day. Linda, a Mum of 4 of our players, started her local business, Yummilicious, during 2021. Linda is partnering with us for our Afternoon Tea and will provide not just delicious, but Yummilicious homemade bakes for the event.

We are currently running a “Support Ukraine” Appeal (from 16th-25th March). As part of this, we have decided that all profits from our Afternoon Tea will go to the Irish Red Cross for Ukraine, a very worthy cause.

We see this event as a lovely way to bring people together locally in their GAA Clubhouse and especially as it is for a very worthy cause. There haven’t been many opportunities to do this over the past 2 years and we hope that this will be the first of many.

We have already received feedback from chatting to people that this is a “great idea”. We have tiered cake stands and are busy sourcing flowers, decorations, table cloths, and teapots from our members to create a real Afternoon Tea atmosphere.
