Ballinteer St Johns Person of the Year 2022 is Sean Lane.

In the past I and previous Chairpersons have used this opportunity to acknowledge special contributions people have made to our club. Last year Kieran Brennan was deservedly the recipient of the BSJ person of the year. This year the award goes to an equally deserving club person. Rather than apply my words I will paraphrase those of a grateful parent whose son is one of many over the last 20 years to benefit from the inspired coaching and management of tonight’s recipient.

It is always hard to completely encapsulate the thoughts, feelings and impact that someone has had on one's life. Without a shadow of a doubt, he has had a profound positive impact on our boys lives from professional to personal.A true ambassador for our club, there aren't enough words to do this man justice.

He has taken the concept of giving back to the highest level. As a leader he is a great role model teaching our boys to take control, empowering them to become leaders. He has created memories for life for the boys, team building days out, off pitch training, swimming, boxing. Not to mention the Championship win with each boy presented with framed photo of the team.

In a nutshell he is a rare gem, a fantastic manager and his time with our boys has been invaluable source of inspiration.
