ADULT CAMOGIE ROUNDUP (Senior, Intermediate and Junior)

Week ending 29/04/23

With the senior camogie team not in action this week and the Juniors granted a walkover in the Junior 5 league, it was left to Ballinteer’s Intermediate side to produce the display of the week. BSJ Inters overcame a strong Naomh Olafs A team with what was their best performance of the year so far.

The girls finished 2-12 to 0-10 winners in Sandyford.

Some beautiful free flowing camogie was matched by turbo-chargedperformances around the pitch, an array of point taking from all angles and some clinical finishing in front of goal.

At the Ballinteer end Alice Smyth in goal and some impressive defensive work kept a clean sheet and provided the launch pad for waves of BSJ attacks.

To those watching from the sidelines it felt like a real moment in the evolution of a new-look team that is growing all the time and can go on to build on this

top-class display.

There’s a host of home camogie games in the coming week in Marlay Park.

The BSJ Seniors will be aiming for a third straight win in Division 1 when they host bottom of the table Castleknock on Tuesday in Marlay Park at 7.30pm

Next up for BSJ in the Intermediate 2 camogie league is a visit by CBC

Portobello to Marlay Park this Thursday at 7.30pm.

While our Junior camogie players are at home to Good Counsel also on Thursday at 7.30pm and will be hoping to build on a good start which sees them sitting third in the Junior 5 league.

Come out and support our adult camogie teams if you can!
