Michael Ryan, Manager

Michael Ryan is involved in his first year with the Ballinteer senior ladies as Manager. Michael played his club football with Moorefield in Newbridge and represented Kildare at senior level. Michael has been a member of BSJ for the past 15 years with three children actively involved with BSJ teams. Michael has completed Level 1 & 2 GAA Awards and coached the BSJ 2003 boy’s football from 2012-2017 and subsequently the Senior men for 4 years from 2018-2021. Highlights include 2 Senior Football Championships with Moorefield and BSJ Senior men’s promotion to Division 1 followed by retention of that status in the years following.Michael is also a member of the BSJ Adult Mens Football Committee.

Peter O’Curry, Selector

Peter O ’Curry will act as a selector with the senior ladies in 2023. Peter has been a member of BSJ for 26 years since his nursery days! Peter was a hugely talented player representing Dublin at underage level and played senior football for the club until forced to retire in 2021 due to a persistent knee injury. Peter brings huge enthusiasm and a great level of playing experience to the management group.

Paul Leahy

Paul Leahy has been a member of BSJ for over 20 years coaching ladies’ teams at underage and at adult levels over that period. Paul is a first-class administrator, currently acting as club Secretary for the LGFA, and has supported the administrative function for the senior ladies over the last 6 years.

Liam O’ Baoighill

Liam O’ Baoighill played his club football for Monaghan Harps at all levels up to Senior over a 20-year period and played for Monaghan at under 21 level. Liam has been an active member of BSJ for the last 15 years & led the 2005 ladies’ group through from Nursery to Minor level this year (and last), with a number of successful campaigns along the way culminating in a 2nd place finish in this years Division 2 Minor league. The group are now looking forward to championship in August and the transition to adult football next year.  Liam has 3 daughters who are actively involved in various BSJ teams & he is also an active member of the ladies football committee and strategic coaching committee in the club.
