Seniors V Kilmacud Crokes. A much depleted BSJ team took the field against Crokes on Wednesday night. Crokes were quick off the mark and within 10 minutes were 1-2 to no score up. Our first score came from a well taken mark from Rory Morrin. We then got the next 2 points from Dave Devereux. However Croskes scored the next 3 ponits to go in at HT 0-10 to 0-6 up. We were further hit by injuries to both the Devereuxs. Crokes kicked on while we only got 2 points in the second half. Final score Crokes 0-16 BSJ 0-8.

Inters v St Finians Newcastle- In a very tight game BSJ just lost out in Loreto Park on Wed night. Some well worked scores and free taking put us 5 points to 2 up after about 15 mins. However a very soft goal conceded allowed Finians back into the game and the teams went in at half time level on 6 points each. Points were traded early in the second half but then Finians scored 6 of the next 8 points to leave them 4 up with time running out. The lads never gave up and a late penalty expertly converted by Mattie Mc Kenna left just one point in it. Final score BSJ 1-10 Finians 1-11. In addition to Mattie there were good performances also from the likes of Ben Hogan, Eoghan Seoigeand Jack Kenneally amongst others.

Junior A: We played Peregrines on Tuesday 27th  in Marlay park, 12th game in our 15 game league. Both Peregrines and BSJ have being unlucky in the league with some narrow defeats and wins left behind.  This game allowed either side who was successful abit of breathing space from threat of relegation.

BSJ started the game with a slight breeze and took advantage of the weather element. There was work man like performance through the team. BSJ lead at half time, with BSJ captain Kevin McCabe encouraging his players to keep focus.

In the second half  BSJ never relented their work rate with or without the ball. Some excellent performance from Sean Dunne , Cian Hallinan and Johnny Gillick.

BSJ ran out winners 3-15 to 0-6 . Overall it was a big team performance of focus and work ethic from start to finish.  Big thank you to Jamie Walsh and Dan White for rescuing any balls that went over the concert fence.
