Ballinteer St Johns is once again availing of the opportunity to provide Stewards for the Marlay Park concerts and Longitude festival. The concerts will be held on the 27th, 28th and 29th of June and Longitude will run from the 1st to the 3rd of July.

This will be our 6th year stewarding these events and we can only do it with the great support of Club Members, Adult Players, and Parents of Juvenile Players. This is a really positive initiative to be involved with.

Giving a little of your time will benefit our club a lot!

To choose your stewarding days and times, please go to Eventbrite – Choose your times!  and register to provide the necessary details.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
This is the major fundraiser for the Club for this our 40th year. As our club continues to grow and thrive, one of our priorities in continuing to extend and improve the training facilities we use. In the near-term, we plan to replace the surface of our All-Weather Pitch with an expected cost of with an expected cost of €400,000. We are also exploring options on additional facilities that can be utilised for our growing number of players. This Fundraiser will play a big part in allowing us advance these projects.

WHAT’S INVOLVED?
We will need 120 Stewards to cover a 12-hour period on each of the Concert Days and each day of Longitude. We will break down each of the 12-hour periods into smaller shifts to suit your availability. You can volunteer to do as many of these shifts as you wish. e.g. 2 x 6 hour shifts or 3 x 4 hour shifts.
Each completed 12-hour period (made up over all days of concerts) will entitle you to a Free Ticket to attend a concert on the day of your choice.
We are appealing to every family involved in the Club to come forward and offer some time to the Club to ensure the success of this opportunity and to ensure that its success is not reliant on a small number of people doing multiple shifts on multiple days.
